Skate Tip!

Protect That Shine!
Are you a pair or dance skater, are you into Synchro skating. Do you do a lot sliding your boot on the ice? If any of these situations happen to you, chances are your boots are getting beat up pretty bad. All that scraping across the ice is REALLY tough on the leather of your boot's toes and outer sides. The ice tends to soak in to your boots too and ruins the shine and strength of the leather. If you dance or do pairs then your
partner's skates can be very tough on the boot's leather surface too. Both of these torture tests end up making your skates look worn, nicked, scuffed and sliced up.

You can help you boots out a lot by using a product called "Sk8Tape" which when applied correctly can help protect the original surface of you boots and take the brunt of the punishment you give them. "Sk8Tape" comes in the normal boot colors of beige, white and black and simply is placed over the boot (especially effective on the toe area) to help protect it from the normal scuffing, nicking and slicing that happes with skating. It's heavy duty, lasts a long time and is easy to apply and re-apply.

Watch for New Products...

Over the past year there has been some MAJOR revolutions in both skating boot design and skate blade design. Ultima has brought out the new and improved "hinged" skating boot. It looks like a sleek, cut down ski boot and works along the same lines. Strong and extremely flexible for amazing results.

Also ISE has re-designed their ultra-light freesyle blades with cut-outs in the blade area to decrease weight while still keeping the strength needed for double/triple jumps.

Ultima blades has now introduced an incredible new blade system that allows you to simply change the runner of the blade and leave the base intact on your boot. Great for keeping a second sharp pair of blades handy at all times!

There are going to be a whole bundle of NEW accessories/training tools/jewellry coming online also. But you are going to check in regularily over the next 2 weeks to see what is new. Be sure to watch for emails from us with some big announcements... just in time for your Summer School sessions to get started.
