Northern Star Designs Size Chart
(Dresses with Codes such as NS### or LE###)

The measurement instructions for Northern Star dresses
should be measured as follows to acheive Optimum Fit:

These chart measurements are the centre point for our sizing, as our garments are made with stretch fabric your measurements do not have to be exact to these chart to have a good fit.

If  your measurements are what is shown on the chart, you will have growing room as you will have the stretch in the fabric to accommodate a larger body.   If you want a lot of growing room you could go up to the next size but your garment will most likely have wrinkling, if you like a snug fit you would want to stay in the closest smaller size.  If you find that the measurements you need are quite different than any size range on the chart you may want to order custom sizing.  Please see our policy section on custom orders.

How to measure:  The torso measurement is very important, start the tape at the middle of the shoulder (where a bra strap would be)  take the tape down through the crotch and back up to the starting point, making sure they are standing straight.  The chest and hip measurements should be taken at the fullest point, the waist at the smallest.
